A better look at Thistle, for both us and our poor doomed Cave Elf buddy.
As a reminder: those markings are going to change to try and help make these chompy guys easier to tell apart from... some other Cave Elves we'll meet later.

> I'm still dying to know what he was saying as he fled. I'm hoping we find out but seeing as we didn't get translations for the earlier bit of cave elf dialogue I'm not exactly holding my breath.
Someone actually did translate what the cave elves said. It was along the lines of, "I'm so sorry, I didn't know!"
Also obligatory uncalled-for Undertale reference:
"Despite everything, it's still you" -Thistle
Edit: Merged double post.
Also EXCUUUUUSE ME? WE ARE GONNA SEE MORE CAVE ELVES SOON??? AWWWWWW YIS!!! Hopefully this means more backstory!!!!!
> One thing I noticed that I haven't seen anyone else comment on is that Thistle has large, bright blue eyes, while the male Cave Elves has small, very red eyes. Which one is charateristic of a normal Cave Elve or does it matter is one is male or female?
This is something I noticed as well. Until we see more cave elves, both male and female, we can only speculate. Though, I did notice something else regarding Thistle's eyes: her's Master Wu's, Gwendolyn's, and Hym's eyes are all the same color of blue and stand out more compared to everyone else's eyes. Now Wu and Hym are both, or were in Hym's case, Wizards. Wu referred to Thistle as "the new chosen" so from what we can gather from that is that either she is a potential Wizard or something more. And since Thistle has some hinted shared past with Hym and Gwendolyn it is safe to assume that Gwen was/is a potential wizard as well. What I'm saying is that the blue eyes may be a tell of a Wizard instead of a difference between cave elf males and females, though both are plausible theories.
